Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Payment Representative responsible for taking inbound calls from individuals and commercial groups who wish to make payments. The role involves processing initial and ongoing payments for insurance products, ensuring smooth call center operations, assisting members with payment inquiries, and maintaining high-level service during peak seasons.
Key Responsibilities
  • Taking inbound calls to process payment inquiries and charges, maintaining a supportive approach.
  • Responsible for handling payment processing and ensuring prompt and accurate transactions.
  • Manage call center operations and provide consistent phone coverage during operating hours.
  • Help members by identifying amounts owed and deadlines for payment completion.
  • Operate multiple computer systems simultaneously to manage data efficiently.
  • Respond to high call volumes exceeding 1,000 calls per day during peak seasons.
  • Maintain high levels of technical expertise and quality scores in back-to-back calls.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in taking payments in retail, call center, or finance roles.
  • Previous call center experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience in collections or a related agency is preferred.

Skills
  • Technical skills including operating multiple computer programs.
  • Soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and maintaining professionalism in high-volume environments.

Additional Requirements
  • Remote work with a schedule of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Flexibility is required during peak enrollment seasons.
  • Potential for extended hours and weekends in January.

  • 401k (Eligible on the first 401k open enrollment date following 6 consecutive months on assignment. 401k Open Enrollment dates are 1/1, 4/1, 7/1, and 10/1).
