CLASSIFICATION/STATUS: Non-Exempt, Per Diem

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Director of Pharmacy

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

WORK LOCATION: On-site


If you are a Pharmacist seeking a community-based role providing compassionate care to underserved communities on a Per Diem basis and are interested in the following, the team at Charles River Community Health wants to meet you!

  • Less scripts than most retail pharmacies leaving room for more impactful patient interaction.

The mission of Charles River Community Health (CRCH) is to partner with individuals and families so they can thrive and lead healthier lives by delivering the comprehensive, integrated, and equitable primary healthcare that matters most to them. The Pharmacist will be responsible for the operation of the pharmacy including, but not limited to, operational and clinical services such as purchasing, preparation, and distribution of drugs. The Pharmacist will also be responsible for clinical oversight and interaction with medical staff, as well as the appropriate and timely submission and reconciliation of drug claims.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES


· Responsible for all activities related to dispensing medications.

· Responsible for the accurate delivery of services to clients.

· Work collaboratively with administration, providers, and nursing staff to provide quality care.

· Ensure that billing documents and inventory control records are completed and accurate.

· Ensure strict compliance with all standardized professional policies and procedures.

· Work in collaboration with other pharmacy staff to achieve clinical effectiveness.

· Ensure adherence to State and Federal laws and regulations.

· Maintain strict control over distribution and usage of all medications, including perpetual documentation of all controlled substances in Schedules II-V.

· Responsible for 340B compliance when filling and checking medications.

· Ensure appropriate record-keeping in accordance with State and Federal regulations, and PBM Contracts.

· Process and verify pharmacy claims for accuracy and resolve third-party rejections.

· Monitor and participate in QA activities within the department.

· Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Pharmacy or designee.


YOUR QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES, TRAITS


· College degree (Bachelors, Masters or Doctoral) in pharmacy from an American Council on

Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) accredited college of pharmacy required.

· Current, Valid, Unrestricted Pharmacist license in the Commonwealth of MA required.

· 1 – 3 year pharmacy or related experience, preferably in retail pharmacy services required.

· Must have a willingness to work flexible hours to meet the organization's needs/demands.

· Must be able to travel to either Charles River Community Health site (Brighton and

Waltham) as needed.

· Must be detailed-oriented.

· Must demonstrate exceptional people skills.

· Ability to communicate with patients in both English and Spanish preferred.
