Per diem roles often involve covering shifts for regular staff, handling overflow patients, or providing expertise in specific cases at hospitals or clinics. This flexible arrangement allows both healthcare facilities and the endocrinologist to adapt to varying patient loads and scheduling needs. Per diem endocrinologists may work in multiple locations and may have more control over their work-life balance compared to full-time staff.
