Endocrinologist

Salary Range $225,000.00 - $315,589.00 Salary/year Position Type Full Time Education Level Doctorate Degree

Description

Duties include the following:

Treat patients who have medical conditions that affect the endocrine glands and the hormones produced by them to include common conditions such as thyroid diseases, diabetes, infertility, hypertension, cholesterol disorders, osteoporosis, and cancers in the endocrine glands. Examine patients with suspected endocrine issues and review previous physicians' notes and test results conducting a physical exam, running lab tests, and developing a course of treatment. Provides patients with information on diets, hygiene and other home treatments that will help manage their conditions. Design a plan of care based on assessment of physical, emotional, and social needs and in collaboration with the patient and, if appropriate, the family.

Qualifications

Experience and Education include:

  • Doctor of Medicine or foreign equivalent
  • Completion of Internal Medicine Residency Training
  • Completion of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Fellowship
  • Massachusetts Medical License
