Job Overview
By-Tor Contracting Inc. is seeking motivated Apprentice Millwork Installers to join our growing field operations team. This is an entry-level role designed for individuals looking to build a long-term career in residential millwork and door installation. Apprentices will work directly alongside experienced Lead Installers, receiving hands-on training with the goal of progressing into an independent installer role within approximately one year.
Through our partnership with Loweโs, this position offers consistent, year-round work and a clear path for advancement in a high-demand trade.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist Lead Installers with residential interior and exterior door installations
- Learn proper measuring, cutting, fitting, and finishing techniques
- Prepare and maintain tools, materials, and work areas
- Protect customer homes and maintain clean, organized job sites
- Follow installation standards, safety procedures, and company guidelines
- Communicate respectfully with homeowners and team members
- Travel to job sites as required (per diem provided when applicable)
- Demonstrate reliability, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
Qualifications
- Some hands-on experience in construction, carpentry, or home improvement preferred (but not required)
- Strong interest in learning a skilled trade and growing into an installer role
- Positive attitude and ability to take direction from Lead Installers
- Good communication and professionalism in customer-facing environments
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting and working on job sites
- Valid driverโs license with a clean driving record preferred
- EPA Lead Certification a plus (training assistance provided if needed)
Compensation & Career Growth
- Starting salary: $30,000 โ $35,000 per year
