Customer Center Sales Associate A Role Overview

The purpose of the Customer Center Associate A is to answer inbound call volume from customers calling to discuss general account service issues, equipment repair needs, using suggestive sales skills while placing orders for Food Service Customers.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Records customer product orders accurately.
  • Educates customers on new products offered.
  • Matches product benefits with customer needs.
  • Identifies and handles customer inquiries.
  • Applies customer service best practices to resolve customer issues regarding order execution, delivery execution, requests for new equipment placements through the entry of service requests.
  • Dispatches equipment repair requests to the proper PBV channel.
  • Logs repair calls in SAP.
  • Applies customer service best practices to resolve customer issues regarding equipment repair requests, scheduling issues, and repeat problems with equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma required. Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Five (5) years of experience in customer service or sales required. Six (6) years of experience preferred.
  • Must have superior verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with customers and business partners.
  • Must have an enthusiastic, positive attitude and possess the ability to communicate and interact in a professional manner.
  • Must be able to utilize customer service skills and critical thinking skills to assess customer needs based on verbal and nonverbal clues and match products/benefits to those needs.
  • Must be able to exhibit superior telephone skills.
  • Good judgment and the ability to prioritize customer's needs.
  • Must be able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.
