Job description

HSB has a great opportunity on the Finance team for a Premium Accountant (must be able to work a hybrid work schedule in the Hartford, CT Office.)

In this position you will perform general accounting functions associated with Finance Department.

Provide assistance with the generation of monthly and quarterly reports to management and assistance with a variety of other reports and analysis.

Meet tight deadlines and activities in a timely and accurate manner.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ year's of Accounting experience is required
  • 3+ year's of Accounting experience is desired
  • Experience with PeopleSoft ERP
  • General accounting experience in insurance industry.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong PC skills (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Working knowledge of PeopleSoft nVision and query tools
  • Organization skills
  • Strong Time management skills
  • Strong communications skills (written and verbal)
  • Good analytical skills
