Job Title: Sr. PeopleSoft SME
Location: Arlington, VA (Onsite)
Note: Must have an Active Secret Security Clearance (DoD) Job Description:
The ideal candidate will provide deep functional and technical expertise in PeopleSoft HCM and related modules to support Federal Government HR modernization programs. This role involves working across on-premises and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments, supporting implementation, optimization, and ongoing system improvements.
The successful candidate will bring extensive PeopleSoft implementation experience, along with a strong understanding of federal HR and payroll processes. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to both technical and functional teams, helping ensure the successful delivery and operation of enterprise PeopleSoft solutions. Key Responsibilities:
โ€ข Serve as the primary technical subject matter expert for PeopleSoft HCM, Payroll, Benefits, and related modules.
โ€ข Support PeopleSoft system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements, including requirements analysis, configuration, and testing.
โ€ข Collaborate with functional and technical teams to resolve complex PeopleSoft configuration and integration issues.
โ€ข Develop and deliver PeopleSoft training programs and user documentation.
โ€ข Analyze PeopleSoft issues and defects and coordinate with technical teams for resolution.
โ€ข Support PeopleSoft data migration activities, including data mapping, validation, and reconciliation.
โ€ข Provide expert guidance on PeopleSoft best practices and federal HR regulatory compliance. Requirements:
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
โ€ข 7+ years of PeopleSoft implementation experience, including 5+ years serving as a PeopleSoft SME.
โ€ข Demonstrated expertise in PeopleSoft modules (HCM, Financials), PeopleTools, integrations, customizations, and PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) processes.
โ€ข Strong understanding of PeopleSoft architecture, configuration, and system optimization. Desired Skills:
โ€ข Experience with Cross-Domain Enterprise Solutions (CDES) and Oracle RDBMS 19c.
โ€ข Experience with PeopleSoft Financials Management Software, PeopleSoft Global Payroll, and PeopleSoft CRM (case management).
โ€ข Knowledge of Oracle APEX is highly desirable.
โ€ข Familiarity with DevSecOps tools such as CAST, Palo Alto, PHIRE, and Stonebranch.
โ€ข Experience with automated testing tools, including PeopleSoft Test Framework (PTF) and Tricentis.
โ€ข Experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) for backlog management, roadmaps, and performance metrics.
โ€ข Experience supporting de-customization efforts within PeopleSoft applications.
โ€ข Oracle PeopleSoft HCM or Financials functional certification preferred.
โ€ข Experience supporting PeopleSoft implementations within the Department of Defense (DoD).
โ€ข Familiarity with PeopleSoft Integration Broker and Application Engine.
โ€ข Experience with PeopleSoft upgrades, including PeopleTools and HCM upgrades.
