Job description

Overview

The People & Places Analytics, Research, and Technology (PART) team is looking for a new team member to own Core HR technology solutions. As Intuit matures its data based decision making and talent practices, foundational Core HR tech and data requirements continue to grow to match our company's growing complexity; spanning projects like ecosystem configuration, location architecture, and AI-powered experience. We're looking for someone with strong Workday Core HCM configuration experience who also sees the bigger picture: someone who thinks about Core HCM as one connected piece of a broader People Technology ecosystem, and who is actively using AI to work smarter and push the function forward. This role is crucial for delivering on Intuit's vision of accelerating data-driven people decisions across our business, supporting our top company priorities. You will own core HCM solutions end-to-end, starting with deeply understanding the customer problem, to building the right solution, to collecting ongoing feedback through multiple iterations that drive continuous improvement. Your efforts will help us create amazing people experiences through data and AI, contributing to the larger mission of ‘maximizing the potential of our employees’ and accelerating Intuit's business growth.

Responsibilities

What We're Looking For

This role isn't just about deep Workday configuration skills. It's about mindset. We want someone who treats AI as a core part of how they work, not a side experiment, and who naturally thinks in terms of the full People Technology landscape rather than any single system.

  • A forward thinker who is constantly looking for ways to improve how work gets done especially through AI. You don't wait to be told to modernize a process; you're already asking “could this be faster, smarter, or more automated?”
  • Someone who has genuinely incorporated AI into their day-to-day workflow for requirements gathering, testing, documentation, data validation, or design, and can speak to real examples, not just enthusiasm for the topic.
  • A true systems thinker who doesn't stop at Workday's edge. They know what else exists in the People Technology market, follow industry best practices, can reason through build vs. buy and not default to "Workday is the only tool".
Responsibilities
  • Deeply understand Intuit's people strategy in order to build Core HRtechnology solutions that serve it
  • Design innovative, industry-leading Core HR solutions using a Data by Design mindset
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather iterative feedback and continuously improve the design and functionality of solutions
  • Work collaboratively with product managers and engineers to ensure a cohesive experience across People Technology solutions
  • Proactively identify where AI and automation can streamline Core HR processes, testing, data validation, and documentation, and bring those ideas forward rather than waiting to be asked
  • Evaluate and adopt AI tools in day-to-day BSA work to increase speed and quality, and help build that muscle across the team
  • Connect Core HR decisions to the broader People Technology ecosystem, anticipating upstream and downstream impacts and related integrations
  • Hands-on configuration of Workday Core HCM solutions
  • Stay current with trends and best practices in Workday and Core HR, as well as the broader AI and HR technology landscape

Qualifications

  • Deep domain expertise in Core HCM configuration in Workday
  • 5+ years of experience in HR systems / People Technology, with strong Workday Core HCM depth
  • Demonstrated, hands-on use of AI tools in daily analyst work (e.g., using AI for requirements analysis, test case generation, documentation, or data validation) and able to speak to specific examples of how AI has changed the way you work
  • A People Technology mindset that extends beyond Workday. Curiosity about or experience with adjacent systems and how they connect (Absence, Time Tracking, Payroll, Total Rewards, integrations)
  • Expertise in analyzing and understanding people-related data and tools
  • Strong understanding of the HR landscape
  • Ability to think end to end, including the impact of technology solutions on employees, managers and practitioners
  • Ability to present to, influence, and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels and across varying functions, while managing expectations appropriately
  • Skilled at managing project timelines and task assignments to ensure successful, on-schedule delivery within scope
  • Effective communicator: able to articulate clear messages to team members, stakeholders, and partners
  • Skilled at managing various internal and external stakeholders through complex projects, from scoping to execution to delivery of results
  • Agile and comfortable working in ambiguous situations
  • An orientation toward results and excellence, demonstrating conceptual and analytical thinking, initiative, and flexibility
