Job description

The Aerospace Corporation is the trusted partner to the nation's space programs, solving the hardest problems and providing unmatched technical expertise. When you join our team, you'll be part of a special collection of problem solvers, thought leaders, and innovators. Join us and take your place in space.

The People Acquisition team partners with leaders across The Aerospace Corporation to attract, engage, and hire the exceptional talent that powers our mission. We are looking for a driven, full-cycle Talent Acquisition Partner (Talent Acquisition II/II) to join our team and own recruitment for a portfolio of niche, highly technical roles across the enterprise.

In this role, you will serve as a true talent advisor, partnering closely with hiring managers, Strategic People Partners, and leaders across the enterprise to shape the hiring strategy and deliver results. You will build deep relationships with your client groups, bring market intelligence and creative sourcing approaches to every search, and guide engineering and technical hires from kickoff through offer acceptance, including candidates who hold or are eligible to obtain a U.S. government security clearance. We are looking for someone driven, consultative, and energized by the opportunity to influence hiring decisions that have a direct impact on the work we deliver.

This position is located 100% onsite in Chantilly, VA.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for a portfolio of niche and technical positions, partnering closely with a defined client group to deliver against hiring goals

  • Build and execute creative sourcing strategies using LinkedIn Recruiter, ClearanceJobs, and other talent platforms to identify candidates who hold or are eligible to obtain U.S. government security clearances

  • Serve as a true talent advisor to hiring managers and partners across the enterprise, shaping hiring strategy, providing labor market intelligence, calibrating candidates, and influencing decisions throughout the hiring process

  • Build and maintain strong, consultative relationships with hiring managers, Strategic People Partners, Compensation, and other cross-functional stakeholders to drive aligned, efficient hiring outcomes

  • Maintain disciplined desk management, prioritizing requisitions, driving candidates through the pipeline, and ensuring data integrity and timely activity in Workday

  • Deliver an outstanding candidate experience from first contact through offer acceptance, representing The Aerospace Corporation's mission and culture with enthusiasm

  • Track and report on pipeline health, time-to-fill, and sourcing effectiveness, using data to continuously refine your approach and inform your client conversations

What You Need To Be Successful

Minimum Requirements for the Talent Acquisition Staff II include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field

  • Three or more years of progressive full-cycle recruiting experience, including demonstrated success supporting niche or hard-to-fill roles

  • Proven proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter, ClearanceJobs, and other modern sourcing tools and Boolean search techniques

  • Experience using Workday as the primary applicant tracking system is required

  • Demonstrated desk management skills, the ability to prioritize requisition load, maintain momentum, and deliver consistent results

  • Experience supporting a dedicated client base, building credibility with hiring managers, and influencing through strong consultative partnership

  • A driven, consultative mindset, enthusiastic about partnering with leaders, comfortable influencing hiring decisions, and energized by complex, high-visibility searches

In addition to the above, the minimum requirements for the Talent Acquisition Staff III include:

  • Six or more years of progressive full-cycle recruiting experience, including demonstrated success supporting niche or hard-to-fill roles

How You Can Stand Out

It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:

  • Previous in-house recruiting experience at a defense contractor or technology company, or agency-side experience at a staffing or executive search firm

  • Experience recruiting for FFRDCs, government contractors, or other cleared environments

  • Experience identifying and engaging candidates who hold active security clearances or are eligible to obtain one

  • Recruiter certifications such as AIRS (CIR, PRC), SHRM-CP, or PHR

  • Experience building pipelines and partnering on early-career or university recruiting initiatives
