Job description

At Liberis, our mission is to empower small and medium-sized businesses by removing finance as a friction to growth, delivering contextual, embedded financial solutions to support merchants at every stage of their business lifecycle.

The Team

Our People & Talent team sits at the heart of the business, covering the full global employee lifecycle and enabling Liberis' rapid growth.

We build scalable people foundations that drive performance, enhance efficiency, and evolve with the business - while creating an environment where people can thrive and do their best work!

The Role

This is a dual focus role combining Global Culture & Engagement, Business Partnering and ER Ownership.

Reporting to the Head of People (UK based), you will:

  • Own and drive Liberis' global Culture & Engagement strategy, shaping how we communicate, connect, engage and enable our people across all regions
  • Act as the Senior People Partner, supporting leaders with a strong focus on performance, employee relations and organizational effectiveness
  • Based on our Atlanta office 3-4 days a week, you will act as the on the ground cultural ambassador and ensuring a high quality, connected in person employee experience, playing a key role in shaping the in-person experience and building strong connections across teams

You will operate both strategically and hands on, balancing global programme ownership with local execution in a key strategic market. This role is ideal for someone equally comfortable designing global initiatives and handling complex, on-the-ground people challenges.

What You'll Be Doing

Culture & Engagement (Global)

  • As our office lead in the USA, you will help foster a strong, inclusive and high performing in office culture
  • Own and evolve our global culture & engagement strategy, acting as a cultural steward to drive alignment and strengthen connection across regions
  • Lead global programmes across engagement surveys, internal communications, social & community initiatives and employee listening
  • Define and embed company values & behaviors to shape a high performance, inclusive culture
  • Own and enhance reward & recognition frameworks (e.g. kudos, service recognition)

Business Partnering & Employee Relations

  • Act as the primary People Partner for the US, as well as other global regions, aligning people priorities with business goals and supporting organizational effectiveness
  • Coach and develop managers to improve performance, accountability and team effectiveness
  • Lead and manage complex ER cases, ensuring compliance with local employment law and company policies
  • Provide commercially pragmatic guidance on sensitive people matters
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risk, ensuring fairness and consistency
  • Build manager capability to confidently handle people challenges
  • Partner on performance cycles, calibration and development planning

What We Think You'll Need

  • Proven experience as People Partner / HRBP in a global, scaling environment, with strong experience leading global culture and engagement initiatives (we anticipate this to be between 5-10 years experience)
  • Deep expertize in US Employee Relations, with global ER experience a plus. Confidence managing complex cases
  • Ability to operate effectively at both global strategic and local operational levels
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to align people strategy with business outcomes
  • Excellent coaching, influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical capability - able to turn data and feedback into insight and action
  • Experience working across multiple regions
  • A proactive, adaptable mindset with strong ownership and accountability

What happens next?

Think this sounds like the right next move for you? Or if you're not completely confident that you fit our exact criteria, apply anyway and we can arrange a call to see if the role is fit for you. Humility is a wonderful thing, and we are interested in hearing about what you can add to Liberis!
