Job description

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Product Manager, People Applications to lead the strategy, development, and optimization of URUS' global People technology ecosystem. This role serves as the bridge between People team stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring our HR applications-including Oracle HCM Cloud, global payroll solutions, and connected People systems, deliver maximum value to talent, total rewards, operations, finance, and leadership teams across the enterprise.

This role works closely with People and business stakeholders to understand strategy, pain points, and priorities, translating those into clear product roadmaps and actionable deliverables. Acting as the "voice of the People organization," the Sr. Product Manager partners across all Digital teams to deliver solutions that enhance workforce management, drive automation, strengthen compliance, and support global growth. The Sr. Product Manager, People Applications is committed to maintaining a healthy, scalable, and future-ready People platform by governing configuration, integrations, and data structures to minimize unnecessary complexity and maximize usability.

Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder Engagement & Strategy Alignment

  • Engage with People leadership, HR operations, Total Rewards, Talent, and regional leaders to understand goals and workforce strategy.

  • Translate People and enterprise strategies into product roadmaps and prioritized backlogs.

  • Facilitate ongoing communication with functional and global stakeholders to align expectations and ensure clarity around roadmap priorities.

Product Management

  • Own the product backlog and delivery portfolio for Oracle HCM Cloud and related People applications.

  • Prioritize enhancements and initiatives based on business value, compliance needs, and platform sustainability.

  • Utilize an AI-first approach to identify opportunities for automation, agentic AI, intelligent workflows, and enhanced employee and manager self-service.

  • Serve as the primary decision-maker for People system trade-offs, balancing strategic priorities with technical feasibility.

Governance, Risk Management & Platform Alignment

  • Govern configuration standards, system controls, and data quality across modules and regions.

  • Partner with Security, Compliance, and People leadership to ensure adherence to global data privacy, workforce regulatory requirements, and audit needs.

  • Manage system documentation, SOPs, knowledge articles, and training materials.

  • Evaluate change requests and enhancement proposals to maintain platform stability and avoid fragmentation or duplication.

Change Management & Organizational Readiness

  • Lead release planning, readiness, testing coordination, and deployment activities for Oracle HCM Cloud and connected tools.

  • Communicate upcoming changes, feature impacts, and adoption requirements to People, Finance, Digital, and global users.

  • Ensure enhancements and new features are released with full documentation, training, and enablement support.

  • Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and go-live preparation to ensure smooth adoption.

Configuration, Integrations & Data Management

  • Oversee People system configuration across modules, business units, and regions, ensuring consistency and alignment with global standards.

  • Partner with integration teams to manage data flows between People systems and downstream applications including Finance, EPM, Operations, and Safety.

  • Ensure workforce data (e.g., job history, movement, compensation, tenure, performance) is structured and accessible for enterprise planning and analytics.

  • Maintain strong data governance and ensure system design supports reporting, headcount modeling, and workforce planning.

Cross-Functional Partnership & Demand Management

  • Serve as the intake point for People system requests, enhancements, and issues across the enterprise.

  • Collaborate closely with People Operations, Talent, Total Rewards, Payroll, Finance, Digital, and regional teams to define scalable, sustainable solutions.

  • Set clear expectations for scope, prioritization, and sequencing of changes.

  • Ensure product roadmap alignment with broader Enterprise Applications strategy and architecture.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Mentor and collaborate with Sr. Application Analysts and cross-functional delivery teams.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous learning.

  • Guide the team in translating People requirements into sustainable system capabilities.

  • Promote consistent and best practice standards for configuration, documentation, and system change practices.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Management, or related field; advanced degree or product management certification preferred.

Experience

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in HR technology, People systems, or enterprise software product ownership.

  • Deep experience with Oracle HCM Cloud, including configuration, data structures, security, reporting, and integrations.

  • Experience supporting or integrating Oracle EPM and global payroll solutions.

  • Proven ability to define product strategy and translate People needs into actionable roadmaps.

  • Experience managing system upgrades, releases, and cross-functional change management initiatives.

  • Strong understanding of core People processes such as HR operations, talent, compensation, performance, and workforce planning.

  • Trusted steward of sensitive employee data, with high standards for confidentiality and integrity.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with AI/ML technologies (e.g., GPT, Claude, Gemini, Agentic AI) to drive process automation and efficiency is preferred.

  • Experience working with global and matrixed organizations with complex data and compliance requirements.

  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problemsolving capabilities.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
