PenTeleData, a leader in Data Transport technologies, has an exciting career opportunity available for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk.


General responsibilities include:

  • Answering high volume telephone calls
  • Troubleshooting customer issues
  • Speaking with customers in reference to abuse issues / policy violations
  • Corresponding with customers in reference to service issues
  • Answering Billing questions
  • Corresponding with customers regarding updated credit card information
  • Processing monthly refund and delinquent reports
  • Helping to open and sort mail
  • Posting payments and processing mail files
  • Making courtesy calls to customers
  • Auditing accounts
  • Answering emails from department email box
  • Communicating with partners in reference to accounts
  • Working with other PTD departments to resolve customer issues
  • Other duties as assigned by manager or director

Qualifications:

  • H.S. Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Established residency in Pennsylvania
  • Previous Experience in Billing and/or Customer Service recommended
  • Understanding of Viruses and Network Security recommended
  • Familiarity with Windows Operating Systems recommended
  • Familiarity with PenTeleData policies preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Possess a positive attitude
  • Excellent Communication Skills - Oral and written
  • Good Organizational skills
  • Good Follow-up Skills
  • Good Typing skills
  • Ability to interact well with customers on a daily basis
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to adapt to change and the changing needs of the company
