We are a vibrant academic community that inspires bright, motivated students to discover and develop their unique gifts. Teachers and students build trusting relationships that foster a sense of belonging, self-reliance, and innovative thinking.

A pre-K-8 Pegasus education equips students to achieve future academic success and make a positive impact on society. History In 1984, Dr. Laura Hathaway (1941-2009) founded the Pegasus School with only 40 students and a small group of parents and teachers.

Her dream: to create an educational and nurturing community where it would be safe for students to be smart; where academic challenges would be matched by a thoughtful social and emotional embrace; and where teachers would provide a student-centered enriched curriculum to encourage students to pursue their passions and talents. It was from this vision that the winged horse was born, and the motto, where bright minds soar, evolved. Over time, the School expanded its student body to 595 students, grade levels pre-K through Grade 8.

The Pegasus School grew, and so did its narrative. It is through these shared experiences of our community-students, teachers, administrators, parents, alumni, and alumni parents-that the School's foundation was built, and it is what makes it a unique place. Job Summary Job Summary The Pegasus School seeks a Technology and Innovation Teacher (PK-4) to join our community beginning August 19, 2026.

The Technology and Innovation Teacher designs and delivers a developmentally appropriate program for students in PK through Grade 4. Grounded in project-based learning and design thinking, the program introduces students to computational thinking, engineering design, digital and AI literacy, and emerging technologies. Through hands-on, inquiry-based experiences, students engage in the design process by identifying problems, generating ideas, building and testing solutions, and refining their work.

Instruction integrates coding, robotics, engineering, and media creation in both a dedicated lab setting and in collaboration with classroom teachers. Pegasus offers a generous, comprehensive benefits program designed to support the wellbeing and professional growth of our employees. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage; life insurance, AD&D, and long-term disability insurance; paid time off for sick or personal reasons; flexible spending accounts; a retirement plan with matching contributions; voluntary supplemental life insurance; paid time off; as well as additional lifestyle perks.

Employees are also eligible for reimbursement of continuing education expenses following one year of service. Full-time employees whose child(ren) are admitted to The Pegasus School may be eligible for up to 50% tuition remission, subject to the school's annual financial aid budget. Employee families may also apply for additional financial aid based on demonstrated financial need and the availability of funds.
