Job description

We're looking for a Principal IT Project Manager to join our IT PMO team, with a focus on supporting complex IT Infrastructure initiatives. You'll serve as a trusted advisor and work with a diverse team of IT Managers, Infrastructure and Operations leaders, Product Managers, Technical Leads, Engineers, and business stakeholders to help define and deliver projects that strengthen Pega’s enterprise technology foundation. You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders to monitor project execution, manage risks and dependencies, and provide transparency into delivery progress and performance metrics to ensure delivery of strategic and tactical priorities.

You will be part of the IT Project Management team. The role will be focused on planning, organizing, and managing activities to achieve successful completion of IT Infrastructure projects while reinforcing commitments to quality, scope, time, budget, operational readiness, and business value. You’ll work with a diverse team of stakeholders from IT Infrastructure, Operations, Security, Product, and various business units to define a shared vision, coordinate dependencies, and keep the team accountable for successful delivery.

What You'll Do at Pega:
  • Provide project management oversight for complex IT Infrastructure initiatives, including infrastructure modernization, platform, cloud, network, security, workplace technology, and enterprise technology services efforts, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Resource Managers, and the PMO to drive effective capacity planning and resource allocation across multiple projects
  • Coordinate cross-functional dependencies across Infrastructure, Operations, Security, Enterprise Applications, vendors, and business stakeholders to support successful planning and execution
  • Manage implementation planning, cutover readiness, stakeholder communications, and transition to support or operations teams to ensure projects are delivered with minimal disruption
  • Ensure project artifacts are complete, accurate and contribute to ongoing process improvements and organizational learning
  • Deliver clear, timely and actionable transparency into project status for stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making

Who You Are:

The ideal candidate should be an accomplished senior project management professional who has a track record of building and leading large and sophisticated IT projects, with experience navigating complex technical dependencies, stakeholder alignment, operational readiness, and cross-functional delivery in a global environment.

What You've Accomplished:
  • 7-9 years minimum of project management experience, independently leading IT projects from definition through deployment
  • 5 years minimum of experience working in a large global environment.
  • Experience managing IT Infrastructure projects in areas such as cloud, network, endpoint, identity/access, security, data center, collaboration platforms, or enterprise technology services
  • Experience coordinating technical delivery across engineering, operations, vendors, and business stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills enabling you to manage cross functional projects in a resource matrix environment
  • Ability to proactively manage change by assessing project impacts and creating plans to address resistance to change
  • Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery approaches and related project management tools
  • Strong process and methodology knowledge across IT delivery lifecycles, including infrastructure delivery, operational readiness, and software delivery where applicable
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented, cross-functional environment
  • BS degree in an IT related field; MBA or Computer Science is a plus

Additional Information

Base salary range for this role is 113,800 - 176,500 USD annually. This role may also be eligible for annual bonus OR commission, as well as benefits and other incentives.

The final compensation will be determined during the offer process based on the candidate's education, experience, skills, and qualifications, as well as market conditions and may vary from the posted range. We will share an information on benefits, bonus/commission, and other pay components for this role at the relevant recruitment stage.
