Highland Rivers Behavioral Health provides treatment and recovery services to individuals impacted by mental illness, substance use disorders and intellectual developmental disabilities.

JOB SUMMARY: Brings the "lived experience" to the virtual telehealth hub to increase individual engagement and complement the service array offered to the individuals. These staff also help individuals navigate the health system and link to recovery supports.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Staff peer warm line to provide engagement and supports for individuals who are in need of non-crisis recovery supports.
  • Provide outreach services to individuals served.
  • Provide reliable and relevant information to help individuals overcome barriers that may prevent engagement, retention, or re-engagement in treatment.
  • Provides telephonic intervention to individuals experiencing distress utilizing relevant personal experience, trauma informed practices and person-centered methods
  • Follows up with individuals and provides support as appropriate.
  • Provides peers and their families with information on community and Agency resources.
  • Demonstrates strong customer-service oriented behaviors. Treats everyone in a polite, professional manner. Handles concerns, problems and issues in a manner that is helpful and responsive.
  • Coordinate with clinical staff as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
