  • Benefits: Employer subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance; PTO; 401k with matching and holiday pay after 1 year of employment, plus bonus potential.
  • Location: 9720 Sandifur Pkwy, Pasco, WA 99301
  • Schedule: This is a Monday-Friday role with shifts typically running between 5:00am and 5:00pm, depending on the day.

  • Current State of Washington Dental Assistant Registration

What Youโ€™ll Do:

As a dental/orthodontic pediatric assistant you will work chairside the doctor to promote good dental and general health through education and patient interaction. A typical day will consist of:

  • Prepare patient for dental hygiene by welcoming, soothing, seating and draping patient.
  • Answer questions and provide parents, or guardians with information about patientsโ€™ oral health, treatment, and hygiene
  • Communicate and work alongside dental staff to provide the patient with high level of care
  • Examine patientsโ€™ mouth for oral health, OHI, and provide any combination of the following treatments as instructed and approved by the dentist:
    • Perform visual exams
    • Perform Prophies
    • Perform 4-6 handed dentistry
    • Assist all dental preventative, restorative and orthodontic procedures
    • Remove excess cement with hand instruments
    • Take x-rays and intraoral photos
    • Apply sealants
    • Arrest dental decay by applying fluorides and other cavity-preventing agents
    • Mix filling compounds
    • Take impressions of teeth
    • Place and remove orthodontic bands
    • Take impressions of space maintainers and orthodontic retainers
    • Prepare teeth for bonding, place elastic ligatures or chains
