What is a pediatric home health RN?

Pediatric Home Health Registered Nurses (RNs) are specialized nurses who provide medical care to infants, children, and adolescents in the comfort of their homes. They work with patients who may have chronic illnesses, disabilities, or require post-surgical care, and their duties often include administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and educating families on health management. These nurses collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and family members to ensure a child’s care plan is followed and adjusted as needed. Registered Nurse (RN) | Home Health Location: Marietta, OH Agency: AMN Healthcare Pay: $2,265 to $2,405 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP

About the Position

Job Description & Requirements
Registered Nurse – Home Health - Travel - (HH RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 D Pay Rate: $2265.00 - $2405.00
This Home Health RN role is based in Marietta, Ohio, a picturesque riverfront community known for its historic charm, friendly neighborhoods and relaxed pace of life. Marietta offers a welcoming small-town atmosphere with tree-lined streets, a vibrant downtown, and beautiful views along the Ohio and Muskingum Rivers. Residents enjoy local shops and cafes, seasonal festivals, and easy access to parks, walking trails and outdoor recreation, making it an appealing place to live and work. As a Home Health RN in Marietta, you will provide skilled nursing care to patients in their homes across the city and nearby communities. You will conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, develop and update individualized care plans, and deliver direct patient care including medication management, wound care, disease management education and monitoring of chronic conditions. You will have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients and families, supporting them as they remain safely and comfortably in their homes. Your typical day may include traveling between several patient homes, completing nursing visits, documenting assessments and interventions in the electronic medical record, and communicating changes in patient status to providers and the care team. Patient caseloads generally focus on adult and geriatric populations with a mix of post-acute, post-surgical and chronic disease management needs. You will work closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, medical social workers and home health aides to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care. Shifts are generally daytime hours with some flexibility based on patient scheduling and agency needs, allowing for a more predictable routine compared to many inpatient settings. Visit volume and patient ratios are designed to support thorough, high-quality care and adequate documentation time. This role offers the chance to refine your skills in independent nursing practice, case management and patient education while working in a supportive, collaborative home health environment. Professionally, a Home Health RN position in Marietta provides valuable experience in community-based care, chronic disease management and transition-of-care coordination. You will gain expertise that strengthens your resume and can support future advancement into leadership, education or specialized home health roles. The combination of a close-knit community, scenic surroundings and meaningful one-on-one patient care makes this Marietta-based home health nursing opportunity especially rewarding.
