Job Summary:
PEAK Technical Staffing USA is seeking a dynamic and driven individual to join their team in Carlsbad, CA, focusing on security design and certification for U.S. Government High Assurance communications programs. The role involves providing technical support for Information Assurance design and development, generating security-related documentation, and collaborating on next-generation network encryption devices.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Derive, develop, and document system, software, and hardware requirements from customer and product specifications.
โ€ข Own system requirements and system design activities on next-generation network encryption devices.
โ€ข Prepare system design documents and present them at internal and customer reviews.
โ€ข Collaborate with large geographically diverse multi-disciplinary teams to create next-generation products.
โ€ข Generate and collaborate on required design documents, requirements specifications, and verification protocols.
โ€ข Support qualification of new design by supporting and reviewing system test activities.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข 5 years of system security design experience with a focus on NSA, FIPS, NIST, or Common Criteria related efforts.
โ€ข Familiarity with design and certification to the latest NSA, FIPS, NIST, or Common Criteria security requirements and specifications.
โ€ข Strong system security design experience, including generation of certification documentation, cryptographic embedment, and willingness to lead design for security aspects of cryptographic embedment efforts.
โ€ข Strong understanding of networking protocols is highly desired.
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience.
โ€ข Familiarity with using requirements traceability tools (DOORS, JAMA, etc.).
โ€ข Good working knowledge of MS Office products for documentation creation and modification.
โ€ข Ability to work independently, take initiative, and take ownership of tasks and results.
โ€ข US citizenship and an active SECRET or TOP SECRET security clearance is required.
โ€ข Ability to travel up to 10%.
