Job description

Essential Duties:
Responsible for managing dual site local manufacturing networks (Cincinnati, OH and Franklin, OH) and supporting the broader HDT network environment. Duties include monitoring the local area networks to ensure reliable performance. Install, configure, administer, and optimize Windows servers, desktops, laptops, and related components to support high availability and strong performance for critical business \ manufacturing applications. Install, configure, maintain, and monitor end-user desktops and laptops.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, including end-user desktops and laptops and enterprise data servers.
  • Recommend, schedule, and perform hardware and software improvements, upgrades, repairs, and purchases.
  • Provide technical support and helpdesk assistance.
  • Manage and administer servers, including operating systems and associated software.
  • Manage communication and connectivity solutions such as local area networks, intranet systems, Internet applications, and email services.
  • Install and configure printer systems.
  • Install and configure networking equipment.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly system backups.
  • Collaborate with team members on company-wide issues, upgrades, and initiatives.
  • Administer and maintain end-user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  • Evaluate and recommend hardware products for procurement.
  • Review and deploy service packs, hotfixes, system updates, and vendor-supplied patches following best practices.

Education/Experience/Other Skills & Abilities:
  • Highly self-motivated with proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively within a team environment.
  • College diploma or university degree in computer science, or 5+ years of equivalent work experience.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Strong knowledge of common Windows PC software, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and standard web browsers.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows servers and Windows-based networks.
  • Experience with Active Directory migration, setup, and implementation.
  • Knowledgeable in configuring and managing switches and routers.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Server operating systems.
  • Strong familiarity with DNS, TCP/IP, and general networking fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with network protocols, firewall management, and basic database administration.
  • Experience with VoIP setup and configuration.
  • Experience with Zscaler, Palo Alto, CrowdStrike, Horizon3 is a plus
  • Experience with SolidWorks and Enterprise PDM is a plus.
  • Ability to research Windows-related issues and evaluate new products as needed.
  • Ability to present technical concepts in business-friendly, user-friendly language.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides.
