Position: Senior Mechanical Engineer Location: Beverly, MA (Onsite) Start Date: Immediate Interview Mode: Phone/Video
Minimum Requirements:
  • 4-5 years of experience in the semiconductor domain.
  • BSME (Mechanical Engineering) minimum; MS preferred.
  • At least 1 year of CAD experience with Creo.
  • Experience with PLM systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead mechanical design for ion implanter subsystems (process chambers, beamline structures, wafer handling, vacuum chambers).
  • Conduct design reviews, apply DfX principles, GD&T, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
  • Perform hand calculations and FEA (CREO Simulate, ANSYS) for structural integrity and reliability.
  • Execute detailed CAD work, engineering drawings, and BOM management (Creo, AutoCAD, Windchill, Glovia).
  • Develop precision motion mechanisms and complex electromechanical assemblies.
  • Perform FEA/CFD (thermal, structural, modal) and validate designs via prototyping.
  • Drive manufacturability improvements, reliability growth, and cost reduction.
  • Define test requirements, coordinate execution, and document engineering test plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (systems, electrical, controls, physics, manufacturing, field service).
  • Ensure compliance with SEMI S2/S8 and internal safety standards.

Preferred Experience:
  • End station and wafer handling systems.
  • Semiconductor equipment design and vacuum system expertise.
  • Reverse engineering and precision motion systems.
