The Role


Are you an RF expert who thrives on technical challenges? As a Wireless Technician II, you will transition from standard installations to independently managing complex RF deployments. This role is for a high-level technician who can troubleshoot performance issues on the fly, interpret intricate engineering drawings, and serve as a technical mentor for junior team members.


What You’ll Do

  • Advanced Integration: Install and integrate RF equipment (radios, antennas, fiber) and assist in system commissioning.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Independently diagnose and resolve RF performance issues using specialized tools.
  • RF Studies & Testing: Perform independent RF studies—including PCTel file setup and survey reporting—and conduct signal verification.
  • Lead & Mentor: Guide portions of installation projects and provide technical mentorship to junior technicians and installers.
  • Precision Engineering: Interpret site drawings and engineering documentation to ensure every build meets exact code and safety specifications.
  • Logistics Ownership: Ensure all materials and tools are verified and staged before heading to the job site.

Requirements:

Who You Are

  • Flexible: Some weeks you’ll be working at a local job site, but most weeks you’ll be traveling to sites in our market area across New York, northern New Jersey, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.
  • Hands On: Most of our work is on active construction sites as buildings are erected. You’ll be working as part of a small team to install and test our systems.
  • OSHA 10 certification required or will need to be obtained after employment.
  • Experienced: 3–8 years of RF/telecom field experience (preferred).
  • Technical Expert: Strong knowledge of RF systems, site infrastructure, and testing equipment (Spectrum Analyzers, PIM testers, etc.).
  • Leader by Example: You demonstrate professional conduct, clear communication, and a productive attitude toward team members and customers.
  • Accountable: You have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and the physical ability to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Certified: A NICET IB-PSC Technician I or II certification is highly preferred but not necessary.
