Responsibilities
  • Review and perform quantity survey assignment with lead estimator
  • Performs general sub-trade solicitation duties
  • Bid document control
  • Performs bid day assignments
  • Sub-trade bid reviews and recapping
  • Visits job sites periodically
  • Use of in-house estimating software (BEST Estimating)
  • Develops relationships with subcontractors
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Desire a career in construction Project Management, Field Supervision, or Estimating.
  • Pursuing an associate's or bachelor's degree in Architectural Drafting & Estimating Technology, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • Any experience using the following; On-Screen Takeoff, Microsoft Excel and Word, Revit, Acrobat, and other computer software
  • Required to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, with project personnel, suppliers, subcontractors and owners
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications, and perform quantity take offs
  • Must be authorized to work in the US *PCL will not sponsor an employment visa (e.g. H1-B, etc.) for this position
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Available to work in Los Angeles, CA full time from May to August
  • Employment with PCL is contingent upon passing a substance abuse test conducted by a third party.
