Description

TEKsystems is seeking Desktop Deployment Technicians to support an expansion project. This individual will assist with the preparation, deployment, testing, and troubleshooting of end-user technology throughout a newly constructed clinical tower. The project includes deploying approximately 400+ devices and supporting a large-scale healthcare technology rollout.

This is an excellent opportunity for IT professionals with hands-on deployment experience who enjoy project-based work and working within a team-oriented healthcare environment. Successful contractors will work alongside the IT Field Operations team and receive guidance from dedicated onsite team leads.

Responsibilities

• Unbox, stage, and prepare desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, and peripheral devices for deployment.

• Image and configure computer systems according to standards.

• Label and inventory hardware assets prior to installation.

• Deploy workstations, monitors, printers, and label printers throughout the new facility.

• Perform basic troubleshooting and issue resolution during deployment activities.

• Validate device functionality and perform deployment testing.

• Maintain accurate documentation and deployment tracking records.

• Follow established procedures and maintain attention to detail throughout the deployment process.

• Collaborate with Field Operations personnel and project leadership.

Required Qualifications

• 1-3 years of desktop support, hardware deployment, or IT field services experience.

• Experience deploying PCs, monitors, printers, and related hardware.

• Basic troubleshooting skills in Windows environments.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Professional communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to lift and move computer equipment as needed.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

This is a Contract position based out of Houston, TX.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
