Job description

Overview

If this sounds like you, we invite you to consider joining us as a Patient Business Services Support team member This postion works and is located onsite.
Responsibilities
Performs routine clerical pre-billing functions which support entire Patient Business Services process:
  • Sorts and distributes mail, records, files and supplies to staff members.
  • Runs various departmental reports as assigned to complete daily tasks.
  • Reviews claim Runs and distributes claim forms.
  • Updates and maintains unit records, logs, files and reports.
  • Sorts, inspects, and completes forms according to established procedures.
  • Scans all correspondence documents in Onbase and attach in Epic to appropriate accounts
  • Monitor stock levels and notify if need ordered.
  • Pull medical record information from electronic databases for claim submission.
  • Perform back-up duties to PBS as needed.
  • Maintain updates to departmental procedures.
  • Review status of daily electronic claims transactions.
  • Process Liens and Lien satisfactions, collaborating with PBS notary and leadership approvals
  • Works emails from outsource vendors performing actions as needed
  • Works with clinics to obtain sterilization consent forms
  • Uploads records into Crimevictims portal
  • Work mail returns, certified
  • Utilize Rightfax as needed
  • May handle inventory and stocking of equipment and supplies.

Qualifications
Education:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.

Experience:
  • Six months previous clerical support experience preferred.

Skills:
  • Net Typing of 40 wpm, 10-key and PC based computer skills.
  • Understand the billing claim forms - UB04 and CMS1500
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Ability to utilize and manage payor portals and online tools.
  • Works efficiently with minimal supervision, exercising independent judgment within stated guidelines.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills which promote cooperation and teamwork.
  • Ability to withstand varying job pressures and organize/prioritize related job tasks.
  • Excellent public relations skills and demonstrated ability to communicate in calm, businesslike manner.

Pay Range
USD $21.25 - USD $30.39 /Hr.
