Job description

Licensing Specialist

Under the direction of the Licensing Manager, the Licensing Specialist is responsible for ensuring Benecard and all affiliated companies meet and maintain licensing requirements in accordance with all State and Federal governance. The Licensing Specialist will research, prepare, file, and track administrative filings to ensure compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Research licensing requirements- new or updated instructions, forms, and attachments. Obtain clarification from the state regulator, if necessary.

• Assist with and prepare initial license applications for TPA, PBM, Pharmacy, etc

• Assist with and prepare annual reporting and renewal filings for TPA, PBM, Pharmacy, etc.

• Assist with and prepare miscellaneous filings for insurers.

• Process notifications of corporate changes to all regulatory authorities.

• Track filing progress and document updates on spreadsheets and online database.

• Submit requests to other internal Departments as needed, track completion and follow-up as necessary.

• Work with third-party licensing vendor to manage the filing of producer renewals and business entity reports.

• Reconcile third-party licensing vendor billing invoices against work completed.

• Work with Legal and Compliance Departments on licensing issues and questions.

• Conduct research into States' upcoming licensing and reporting requirements using online databases such as Lexis; track regulatory changes or newly introduced Bills.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and able to cross-reference information across varying scenarios.

• Possess reading comprehension and critical thinking skills.

• Able to multi-task projects of varying priority levels.

• Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams)

• Prior experience in the vision, pharmaceutical, healthcare or managed care industry a plus
