Job Summary
The Sales Development team works closely with both Sales and Marketing to drive interest in Payscale's solutions, identify potential buyers, and use compelling messaging to pique the interest of our prospects. Our goal is to help compensation professionals learn how Payscale can empower them to adopt a modern compensation strategy.
What You Do: As an inbound Sales Development Representative, you are an integral part of the organization. You will be responsible for engaging with prospects who have shown interest in the Payscale Platform. You will work closely with our marketing and sales teams to ensure a seamless transition from the initial interest stage to a potential sales conversation.
In this role, you will:
  • Follow up on Inbound Leads- Within 5 minutes of a lead coming into our system the inbound SDR will reach out to the prospect to qualify their needs and schedule time with an Account Executive. On average the Inbound SDR will be making 80-100 dials and sending 50-100 emails.
  • Engage with Prospects: Use Outreach sequences, phone calls, personalized emails, and other methods such as LinkedIn to establish rapport, answer any questions, and move prospects forward in the sales funnel.
  • Qualify Leads: Assess inbound leads based on predefined criteria to determine their suitability for sales conversations and pipeline development.
  • Schedule Demos/Meetings: Book initial meetings or product demonstrations with qualified prospects for Account Executives.
  • Collaborate with Sales Team: Work closely with the sales team to ensure that all qualified leads are passed along smoothly and with the appropriate context to increase conversion rates.
  • Maintain CRM Updates: Accurately track all lead interactions, updates, and status changes in salesforce to ensure clear communication and reporting.
  • Handle Objections: Address common objections and queries from prospects, guiding them toward the next steps in the sales process.
  • Provide Feedback: Share insights and feedback with the marketing team about lead quality and effectiveness of campaigns.

  • Experience in sales and/or customer facing activities in a fast-paced environment.

Payscale has an employee centric remote-first model that provides you the flexibility to do your best work in a space that supports you, while also finding time to collaborate in person for the moments that matter.
