TOWER TECH I / II
PayScale: $18.50-27.00/hour
Apex Site Solutions is a wireless telecommunications contractor. We service all of California as well as Nevada, Washington, Oregon, and Arizona. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Climbing and working on communication towers to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain wireless systems
• Assembling/erecting various tower types, including self-support, monopoles, guyed towers, etc.
• Learn to read construction documents
• Installing antennas, coax, fiber optic cables, DC power, AC power, etc., at elevated heights of over 100 feet
• Working closely with, helping manage, and mentor technicians, and staying aligned with our OJT training program
• Review assigned crews and adhere to project schedules
• Adhering to all company and industry (i.e., OSHA, NATE) standards/regulations
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Be able to demonstrate skills, knowledge, and your level of expertise in the tower industry
• Must have reliable transportation; a valid driver's license may be required for certain assignments involving travel or use of company vehicles.
• Ability to travel and work outside of normal business hours, including nights, weekends, and/or holidays
• Working knowledge of hand tools, mechanical equipment, and electro-mechanical equipment
• Ability to climb tall structures (100 feet or more) with a 50lb. load
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Local, out-of-the-area and extended travel is required (up to 95%).
