About the Opportunity


We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to support ongoing payroll operations for a leading organization in the food & beverage industry. This role will serve as a key contributor to day-to-day payroll operations, acting as a backfill for an existing payroll function with a strong focus on Workday Payroll execution.


This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong attention to detail, and brings hands-on expertise managing end-to-end US payroll processes.


Key Responsibilities


• Execute full-cycle US payroll processing using Workday Payroll

• Perform pre-payroll validation, including employee data, earnings, deductions, benefits, and payroll changes

• Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing aligned with payroll schedules and deadlines

• Conduct payroll reconciliations and post-payroll validations to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Handle off-cycle payrolls, adjustments, corrections, and special payments as needed

• Manage payroll tax compliance, including federal, state, and local payroll taxes

• Support year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and audit support

• Partner closely with HR, Finance, and external payroll vendors to resolve issues and improve processes

• Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements


Qualifications


✅ 3–5+ years of experience in US payroll processing

✅ Hands-on experience with Workday Payroll (required)

✅ Strong understanding of US payroll tax laws and compliance requirements

✅ Experience with pre-payroll and post-payroll processes

✅ Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy

✅ Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

✅ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment


Nice to Have


• Experience working in multinational or multi-state payroll environments

• Exposure to payroll vendors such as ADP

• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred
