Payroll Manager

YourRole:
As a Payroll Manager, you'll own the full payroll function, ensuring every employee is paid accurately and on time, every cycle. You'll keep Cardamom compliant across federal, state, and local regulations, and partner closely with Finance and HR to support a seamless employee experience. From day-to-day processing to year-end reporting and system improvements, you'll be the go-to expert who keeps our payroll running smoothly.
As aPayroll Managerat Cardamom,youwill:
  • Manage and process end-to-end payroll for all employees (salaried, hourly, and contract) on a semi-monthly cycle
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws, wage and hour regulations, and garnishment requirements
  • Maintain and audit payroll records, ensuring accuracy of employee data including hours, deductions, and benefits
  • Oversee year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and filing, tax reconciliation, and reporting
  • Collaborate with HR on benefits administration and compensation changes
  • Manage payroll system changes, upgrades, and integrations with ERP and other platforms
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and payroll policies in a timely and professional manner

Our idealPayroll Managerwill have:
  • 5+ years of payroll experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field
  • Proficiency with payroll software
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills

Bonus points for experience with the following:
  • Experience with multi-state payroll
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
  • Experience with Rippling HRIS
