Summary

The Payroll & Total Rewards Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting payroll execution, benefits administration, and compensation reporting. This position is responsible for processing biweekly payroll, managing payroll adjustments, supporting benefits reconciliation, and producing accurate and meaningful reporting from HRIS and payroll systems.

This role partners closely with the Total Rewards Manager to ensure data integrity across payroll, benefits, and compensation programs. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capability, attention to detail, and the ability to extract and interpret data to support business insights and decision-making.

Duties and Responsibilities

Payroll & Total Rewards (Primary Focus)
Process biweekly payroll, off-cycle adjustments, and other authorized payroll transactions
Verify and process payroll adjustments including retro pay, corrections, and reimbursements
Support garnishment processing, including coordination with agencies and compliance requirements
Ensure smooth operation of ADP payroll system and timekeeping tools across all locations
Audit and reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance
Assist with benefits invoice auditing, reconciliation, and discrepancy resolution
Compile and validate data for participation in external compensation and benchmarking surveys
Support total rewards initiatives by maintaining accurate payroll, compensation, and benefits data

Reporting, Analytics & HRIS
Generate regular and ad hoc reports from payroll and HRIS systems (ADP) to support business needs
Analyze payroll, benefits, and compensation data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities
Maintain data integrity across systems, ensuring accuracy and consistency of employee and payroll data
Support reporting for key workforce metrics and leadership insights
Partner with HR/Finance to fulfill reporting requests and data analysis needs
Develop and improve reporting processes, dashboards, and data accuracy standards
Identify system or data gaps and recommend process improvements

Systems & Process Support
Maintain and support payroll and HRIS system functionality, including troubleshooting issues
Assist with system audits, updates, and data validation activities
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to payroll processing, reporting, and data management
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate data flow between payroll, finance, and systems

Qualifications
Required qualifications, skills, and experience for the job; education background, certifications, relevant work experience, technical skills, and soft skills.

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
2-4 years of hands-on payroll processing experience, including multi-state payroll environments
Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end payroll cycles, including adjustments, off-cycle runs, and audits
Strong working knowledge of payroll regulations (federal, state, and local), tax compliance, and wage/hour laws
Experience processing and administering garnishments, levies, and other withholdings
Hands-on experience with ADP or similar payroll/timekeeping systems required
Experience supporting benefits administration and reconciliation, including invoice audits and discrepancy resolution preferred
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data validation and analysis)
High attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing and data management
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with a high level of professionalism
