Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of Payroll Processors ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for multi-state employee populations.
  • Establish and enforce payroll standards and quality checkpoints to minimize errors and maintain consistency.
  • Manage complex payroll issues including retroactive adjustments, multi-state taxation, and union-specific pay rules.
  • Coordinate payroll during acquisitions to ensure smooth onboarding of new employees.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and oversee tax filings and year-end reporting.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Provide coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities for payroll team members.
