Job description

We're looking for a dependable and detail-orientated General Accounting Office Clerk who takes pride in accuracy, ownership and follow-through.

Our accounting office plays a critical role in keeping the dealership running smoothly. The right person for this role is someone who stays organized, communicates clearly, and handles responsibilities with confidence and consistency.

Responsibilities

  • Process daily accounting transactions (AP/AR, deposits, and postings)
  • Reconcile accounts and keep clean and balanced schedules
  • Post and review deals for accuracy and completeness
  • Manage vehicle funding and transactions
  • Process finance product cancellations (vehicle service contracts, gap, maintenance)
  • Assist with month-end closing and reporting
  • Communicate with sales, finance to resolve discrepancies efficiently
  • Provide general administrative accounting support
  • Basic knowledge of payroll processing

Qualifications

  • Previous accounting or office experience a must (automotive dealership experience preferred)
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software preferred (Dealertrack, Reynolds & Reynolds, Paylocity)
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
