Job description

We're looking for an Operations Director who thrives on structure, leads with steadiness, and gets things done. This is a newly created role where you will be the operational backbone of the organization: the person the team turns to for day-to-day decisions, and the person who keeps things running while leadership focuses on growth.
If you're organized, calm under pressure, and energized by building systems that work, this is your opportunity.
What You'll Do
  • Own day-to-day operational decision-making across departments, escalating only what genuinely requires leadership involvement
  • Supervise and support the VA and Medicaid teams' daily workflow as their first point of contact
  • Manage payroll processing and administration, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all applicable regulations
  • be available in person or by telecommunication at all times for all aspects of agency operation or designate in
writing an individual to assume the authority and control of the agency if the administrator is temporarily unavailable
  • be responsible for compliance with all regulations, laws, policies and procedures applicable to home and community based service providers
  • Employ, either by contract or staff, qualified individuals and ensure adequate staff education and evaluations
  • Ensure the accuracy of public information and materials
  • Act as liaison between staff, contract personnel and the governing body
  • Implement an ongoing, accurate and effective budgeting and accounting system
  • Ensure that all staff receive proper orientation and training on policies and procedures, client care and services and documentation as required by law or as necessary to fulfill each staff person's responsibilities
  • Assure that services are delivered according to the client's individual service plan
  • Not serve as administrator for more than one licensed HCBS provider
  • Oversee credentialing, DSW training compliance, and COPC review processes
  • Partner with leadership on SOP completion and ensure procedures are followed consistently across departments
  • Monitor team capacity and workload distribution, flagging risk before it becomes a retention issue
  • Support performance management processes, including documentation and accountability follow-through
  • Serve as a stabilizing, visible leadership presence for the team

What You Bring
  • Have a bachelor's degree, plus a minimum of four years of verifiable experience working in the health or social service related business providing services to elderly and/or persons with development disabilities
  • Shall be a resident of the state of Louisiana
  • Hands-on payroll management experience, including familiarity with payroll systems and compliance requirements
  • Proven ability to manage multiple departments or workflows simultaneously without losing detail or follow-through
  • Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
  • Comfort working in a compliance-heavy environment; Medicaid or VA services experience is a plus
