Location: Pataskala, Ohio
Pay Range: Based on experience.
Monday – Friday, 1st Shift (Flexible)
40hrs/wk. (ability to work overtime, when needed)

Opportunity:
The Payroll Specialist at Contract Lumber is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees. This role involves maintaining payroll systems, processing paychecks, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Day to Day:
  • Accurately execute payroll process for all employees, including salaried and hourly workers.
  • Enter timesheet information and employee data into payroll databases.
  • Ensure payroll is processed in compliance with government regulations.
  • Address and resolve payroll discrepancies.
  • Ability to resolve State and Local tax issues
  • Handle direct deposit requests and data.
  • Process and distribute paper checks.
  • Make adjustments for raises, bonuses, and commissions as needed.
  • Process wage garnishments as required.
  • Work closely with HR and finance teams to gather and process payroll data.
  • Have fun and enjoy what you do!
Skill Set:
  • Proficiency in payroll software, Excel, HRIS systems, and timekeeping systems.
  • High level of accuracy in data entry and payroll processing.
  • Strong understanding of BWC policies and procedures in multiple states.
  • Ability to address and resolve payroll-related issues.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with employees and other departments.
  • Maintain confidentiality of payroll information.
  • Previous experience in multi-state payroll processing.
  • Familiarity with payroll regulations and best practices.
  • A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Team player with a great attitude!
