Location: Must reside within 25 miles of Kennesaw, GA

Reports To: CEO, CTO, and CFO

Pay Range: 50K - 73K Compensation ranges based on experience

Job Summary

The Payroll Processor handles all payroll functions and timely payroll processing as well as benefits and HR-related tasks. The position requires meticulous attention to detail and compliance with payroll and benefits regulations. Flexibility is also a key requirement
because while there are some salary and some commission-only employees, most employees are hourly and work out in the field. As such, one must be able to handle all the variations in employee-related communications as well as any other manifestations involved with such a wide field of payroll types.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and on-time using payroll software (e.g., FrankCrum). These
activities include verifying employee hours (via punch locations, service log reviews,
engaging with employees and/or their manager(s) as well as utilizing other internal
resources), plus enter/process deductions and keep on top of all benefits-related items.
• The payroll company we utilize is able to guide, support and/or assist with deeper-related
HR tasks. The remaining HR-related tasks are a part of this position's duties such as:
onboarding, (e.g., setting up new hires, processing I-9s, etc), termination processes and
more.
• Maintain QB journal entries related to payroll activities.
• Fully handle some and assist with other tax document preparation and ensure compliance
with federal and state payroll tax regulations, as necessary.
• Interact with the CTO (and any other necessary team member) regarding adding or
removing employee access to various company resources during on-boarding, job/role
changes or termination.
• Maintain organized and confidential payroll records for audits and reporting.
• Update employee status changes (e.g., pay, benefits) and file personnel change forms.
• Perform clerical tasks such as data entry, scanning and filing
• Respond to employee inquiries in a timely manner.
• While payroll, benefits and HR items are the priority, the person hired for this role will also
handle some company administrative tasks as necessary and as assigned by upper-level
management.

employees.

• High level of reliability and ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial and
employee data.
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite of applications, especially Excel.
• Comfortable with payroll software (e.g., FrankCrum or comparable).
• Quickbooks knowledge/experience is required.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles, payroll regulations, and HR administrative
processes.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field
preferred.
• At least three years of experience in payroll processing required.
• Experience with Jobnimbus or Frankcrum (or similar software), or HRIS systems preferred.
• Again knowledge of and experience with Quickbooks is required.
• Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) or PHR certification is a plus.
