Payroll Specialist📍Bronx, NY |💼Full-Time (in-person)|💰 $50,000 – $60,000   Cooperative Home Care Associates (CHCA) is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll Specialist to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with all applicable wage and hour laws.  The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to manage confidential information with discretion, and committed to supporting employees with payroll-related questions and concerns.  Key Responsibilities * Process weekly payroll for employees accurately and on time * Review and reconcile payroll records, including accruals * Manage payroll deductions such as taxes, garnishments, and benefit contributions * Assist employees with payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly * Process PTO payouts and maintain payroll documentation for audits * Submit direct deposit information and generate payroll reports for Finance * Collaborate with Human Resources on benefit-related payroll changes (e.g., 401k) * Ensure payroll records are properly maintained and employee profiles are updated or closed as needed What We're Looking For  Qualifications * High School Diploma or Associate’s Degree required * Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience * Strong knowledge of payroll processes and wage & hour laws * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) * Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines * Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information * Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred  Skills & Abilities * Highly organized and detail-oriented * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * Ability to work independently and collaboratively * A proactive, reliable team player with a strong work ethic  About CHCA Cooperative Home Care Associates (CHCA) established in 1985, is a home health care services agency licensed by the New York State Department of Health, to provide paraprofessional services for elders and individuals living with physical disabilities in New York City.
