Job description

Within our Corporate Financial Shared Services team located in Denver - Leprino is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to support payroll operations for multiple manufacturing facilities across our network. This role plays an important part in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while supporting payroll reporting, compliance activities, timekeeping systems, and employee inquiries. You'll collaborate closely with plant teams, Human Resources, Finance, and employees to maintain payroll accuracy, strengthen processes, and support a positive employee experience.

At Leprino, starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $28.33 and $31.16 per hour. This position has an annual target bonus of 3.5%.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Process weekly payroll for hourly employees across multiple manufacturing facilities, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
  • Review and reconcile payroll data, identify discrepancies, and resolve payroll exceptions within established deadlines.
  • Partner with plant personnel to verify timecards, clear interface errors between Kronos and UKG, and support payroll readiness each pay cycle.
  • Process payroll adjustments including tuition reimbursements, referral bonuses, insurance refunds, voluntary deductions, and other employee payments.
  • Manage wage garnishments from setup through payroll deduction verification and ongoing maintenance.
  • Prepare off-cycle payments and final paychecks in accordance with company policies and state requirements.
  • Respond to payroll-related questions from employees, supervisors, and plant teams while providing clear and timely updates.
  • Monitor and reconcile 401(k) contributions, loan repayments, direct deposit transactions, and third-party sick pay activity.
  • Prepare accounting journal entries, payroll accruals, audit documentation, and month-end payroll reporting.
  • Support reporting requests from Finance, Human Resources, Legal, Audit, government agencies, and other internal partners.
  • Maintain and support Kronos timekeeping activities including testing, system updates, configuration changes, and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Investigate payroll and system issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions that improve accuracy and efficiency.

 

You Have At Least (Required Qualifications):

  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • 5 years of experience processing payroll in a corporate, manufacturing, shared services, or multi-location environment.
  • Experience using UKG Payroll, Kronos, or comparable payroll and timekeeping systems.
  • Experience processing payroll transactions, reconciliations, employee adjustments, and payroll reporting activities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.

 

We Hope You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):

  • A Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification.
  • Experience supporting payroll operations for manufacturing, food production, distribution, or other multi-site environments.
  • Experience preparing payroll journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and related accounting support activities.
  • Experience supporting wage garnishments, third-party sick pay administration, 401(k) processing, and payroll compliance reporting.
  • Experience testing payroll or timekeeping system upgrades, enhancements, and configuration changes.
