Cherry Bekaert is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee and manage full-cycle payroll operations for approximately 200 employees. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a hands-on, manual payroll environment and is comfortable ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in all payroll processes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Process and manage end-to-end payroll for 200 employees
  • Oversee and maintain timekeeping systems and ensure accurate data entry
  • Prepare and analyze payroll reports for internal and compliance purposes
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Handle payroll tax filings, reconciliations, and issue resolution
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and support audits as needed
  • Collaborate with HR and Accounting teams on payroll-related matters

Qualifications
  • Proven experience managing payroll for mid-sized employee populations (~200 employees)
  • Strong knowledge of payroll taxes, reporting, and compliance requirements
  • Ability to work effectively in a more manual payroll environment (not fully automated)
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
  • Experience in the construction industry a plus
  • Bilingual in Spanisha plus
