Job Description: Payroll/Time/Employee Coordinator

Alaska Glacier Seafoods - Juneau, Alaska

Alaska Glacier Seafoods, located in Juneau, Alaska, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll, Time and Employee Coordinator to join our team. This year-round, hourly position is critical to maintaining accurate employee records, ensuring compliance with attendance policies, and supporting the overall administrative functions of our facility. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is residing in Juneau Alaska, and is comfortable with a 7:00 AM start time.

Key Responsibilities

The primary focus of this role is time and attendance management, with additional duties supporting Human Resources and Production operations.

Time & Attendance Management (Primary Focus)

  • Manage daily employee time and attendance records, including hours, breaks and overtime.
  • Monitor attendance and support documentation for corrective actions.
  • Assist with payroll functions

Facility & Employee Amenities Support

  • Coordinate and oversee break room cleaning and organization with the cleaning crew to maintain a clean employee space.
  • Distribute and collect employee forms (e.g., time off requests).
  • Issue required work gear and PPE to production staff.
  • Assist HR with administrative tasks, including seasonal employee housing and onboarding support.

Qualifications

  • Current resident of Juneau Alaska.
  • Proven experience in payroll, timekeeping, HR coordination, or similar administrative role
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills are a must.
  • Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent).
