Job description

As a Payroll Coordinator at GameStop, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time. You’ll be responsible for validating employee records, processing hours worked, and maintaining payroll data across multiple states. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, highly organized, and passionate about delivering a top-tier employee experience through reliable payroll operations.

This position sits onsite 5 days a week in Grapevine, TX.

This position is hourly.

Responsibilities

  • Verify accuracy of payroll data through extensive auditing.
  • Compute pay according to company policy, as well as ensure compliance with state and/or federal regulations.
  • Maintain working knowledge of payroll concepts and stay up-to-date on changes that may have an effect on payroll processing.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisor and individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Work as a team member to maintain the highest quality of customer service and productivity; provide coverage for other team members as needed.
  • Communicate to Payroll Supervisor any issues or problems that may arise.
  • Provide analytical support for compliance initiatives and Legal requests
  • Perform other related duties and assist with special projects as required

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ years of experience in payroll processing or HR support.
  • Experience with UKG WFM and PRO preferred.
  • Background in retail or high-volume, multi-state payroll environments a plus.
  • Willingness to work extra hours during peak times or on special projects.
