Job description

Payroll / Accounts Payable Manager – Hard Rock Hotel New York Location: Midtown Manhattan, New York Compensation: $90,000.00 – $95,000.00 (salary exempt position) Responsibilities Lead the end‐to‐end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of weekly payroll. Process weekly and monthly union reporting and payments in accordance with the IWA agreement. Maintain payroll policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Coordinate with Corporate Vendor Registration and Contracts Administration to ensure accurate vendor onboarding. Assist with month‐end closing for all accounts payable tasks, including AP accruals and vendor reconciliation. Maintain complete and compliant vendor records, including documentation, tax forms, and supporting information. Analyze invoice processing, vendor setup, and payment activities to identify irregularities, risks, or errors. Develop and implement process improvements across payroll and accounts payable functions. Serve as a key business partner across departments to support accurate payroll administration and vendor payments. Qualifications Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and accounting principles. Experience managing payroll processing, AP operations, vendor administration, and financial controls. Proficiency with payroll systems, ERP, and advanced Excel for financial reporting. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in payroll and accounts payable management. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills in a fast‐paced environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment with sensitive financial and employee information. Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary within the $90,000.00 – $95,000.00 range.
