Job description

We are seeking a highly technical, datadriven Product Manager to lead the evolution of our Payment Routing, Intelligence Layer, and Platform Integration capabilities. This role focuses on building the smart infrastructure that powers routing logic, processor selection, failover flows, transaction optimization, and the foundational integration layer that connects to our payment's ecosystem.

You will partner closely with Engineering, Payments, Risk, Fraud, Data Science, and Compliance to deliver a platform that maximizes payment success rates, reduces cost, expands reach, and ensures resilience at scale.

This is a critical IC role within the Payments Product team focused on deep platformlevel capabilities, not just UI.

  • 4-6+ years in Product Management with strong experience in payments, fintech, platform infrastructure, or API products
  • Handson experience with payment processors, routing logic, or backend payment platforms
  • Familiarity with API-driven integrations, service-oriented architectures, or platform engineering
  • Experience working with Engineering, Data Science, and Payments Operations
  • Background in optimizing transactional systems or high-volume distributed systems a plus

  • Highly analytical with expertise in funnel metrics, performance optimization, and rootcause analysis

The salary range for this position is $140,000.00 - $165,000.00 USD, which is dependent on a several factors including relevant experience, geography, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k)-matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses. This role includes paid Flexible Time Off and paid company holidays.

Product Execution & Platform Ownership

  • End-to-end ownership of the Payment Routing Engine and Intelligence Layer
  • Platform integration layer capabilities (API orchestration, connector framework, abstraction layers)
  • Routing logic based on cost, performance, user attributes, payment type, geography, and risk signals
  • Realtime failover and fallback capabilities to drive guaranteed payment completion
  • Partnering with Engineering to deliver a scalable, resilient, high availability payments platform
  • Ensure Payment Routing Engine and Intelligence Layer is compatible with the architecture and process flows with other areas including vendors, risk, intelligence and fraud

Responsibilities

  • Own daytoday product delivery for routing logic, processor integrations, and intelligence algorithms
  • Define the roadmap for the integration layer, routing engine, and optimization capabilities
  • Partner with Engineering on system design, architecture tradeoffs, and API requirements
  • Collaborate with Data Science to incorporate machine learning, scoring, or signalbased routing
  • Conduct deep analysis on authorization declines, routing failures, and regional optimization gaps
  • Evaluate new payment processors, wallets, and banking partners for integration and remain an expert in the payments industry
  • Develop frameworks for routing experiments and multivariate routing logic
  • Ensure compliance and risk signals are embedded into routing and decision flows
  • Partner with internal teams to continuously refine routing rules, fallback paths, and error handling
  • Influence the platform strategy to enable scalability, global expansion, and modular payment integrations
  • Own the prioritization framework and process to balance business, engineering and stakeholder requirements
