Job description

JOB PURPOSE:
This position analyses carrier freight bills for rating accuracy along with processing weekly customer invoicing for assigned accounts. Communicate with multiple departments to increase accuracy of automated processes. Foster a culture centered on quality work, team and individual personal and professional success while maintaining the highest standards of conduct and ethics. Applicant must be a detailed oriented, self-starter with strong work ethic.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Freight Bill Analysis:
  • Review weekly freight bills for assigned clients
  • Trouble-shoot and resolve issues with freight bills in an "audit" status
  • Communicate direct with carrier personnel on carrier issues
  • Process weekly/monthly invoices to customers
  • Communicate directly with customers for customer issues

Client Management:
  • Make customer satisfaction the primary "driver" for successful quality processes with internal and external teams
  • Ensure issues are addressed immediately and appropriate parties are informed for on-time and proper resolution
  • Provide client feedback to the organization
  • Coordinate with other company departments where processes touch those groups
  • Develop a working understanding of the internal technologies required for daily functions
  • Continuously seek out opportunities to improve current processes
  • Other duties as assigned

Performance Metrics:
  • Invoice count processed per day
  • Customer invoice accuracy
  • Complexity grade 2-4 for all assigned accounts

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • BS/BA degree in business or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience.
  • Basic freight rate knowledge; a high level of ability with spreadsheets and other analytical tools, and a strong desire to succeed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common financial reports and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
  • Ability to effectively present information to clients and management.
  • Ability to apply business and accounting mathematics.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to understand and act upon verbal and written instructions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

SCHEDULING
This is a full-time benefits-eligible position, working Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. An employee in this position must be available to work occasionally on weekends and evenings, during peak periods.
TRAVEL
Local travel is required. Out of state travel is limited but may be required for special training/conferences.
