The Accounts Payable Manager leads the end-to-end management of the accounts payable function within a high-volume shared services environment. This role is accountable for delivering operational excellence, maintaining robust internal controls, and ensuring compliance with audit and regulatory standards. The manager champions ERP transformation initiatives, with a focus on Oracle Fusion, and drives continuous improvement in AP processes. Effective stakeholder management and strong leadership are essential, as the manager acts as the primary point of contact for internal and external clients, and ensures the AP team is high-performing and aligned with organizational goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day operations of the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing in a high-volume environment.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls, compliance with corporate policies, and audit readiness.
  • Drive the ERP transformation for AP by supporting the implementation of Oracle Fusion AP and Basware: validating process design & internal controls, drive UAT, lead change management for AP team, including training, communications and adoption of new processes. Support go-live readiness and post-implementation stabilization.
  • Develop, monitor, and report on performance metrics for AP operations and team effectiveness.
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and business partners, responding to inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Provide direct supervision, leadership, coaching, and performance management to the AP team, including setting clear expectations, overseeing day-to-day activities, monitoring workload and service levels, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional development.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 10 years of accounts payable or procure-to-pay experience in a high-volume, shared services environment.
  • Proven track record of AP team leadership, performance management, and change management.
  • Significant expertise with ERP systems (such as Oracle Fusion, SAP) and AP automation solutions (such as Basware), including implementation and optimization.
  • Strong technical and functional skills in accounts payable, controls, and compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams, with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
