Job description

AAA is hiring for a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team! This role is responsible for processing and managing the organization's accounts payable functions, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, maintaining vendor records, reconciling accounts, and supporting financial reporting and compliance requirements. This role works closely with internal departments and external vendors to resolve discrepancies and improve payment processes.

The primary duties are:

  • Processes invoices, check requisitions, and expense/procurement reports to insure they are compliant with corporate policies.
  • Serve as a liaison with Business Lines for all accounts payable services.
  • Maintain mutually beneficial business relationships with internal and external customers for the purpose of researching and resolving discrepancies.
  • Handles post processing of checks including enclosure matching, departmental phone calls, interoffice mailings, and maintains a call pick-up log.
  • Completes special projects / tasks assigned upon request of supervisor.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate vendor files, including W-9 documentation and payment details.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Business or equivalent.
  • 4 - 6 years of experience in an automated AP environment.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills to enable the accurate completion of assignments.
  • PC literacy in Microsoft Office, with proficiency in Excel.
  • Possess strong customer service skills.
  • Possess strong organizational and analytical skills.
