About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Med Surg / ED day shift assignment with Pioneers Medical Center in Meeker, Colorado. This role is ideal for an RN with strong Med/Surg background and Spine/Ortho post-op experience, who is comfortable working in a critical access hospital setting.
Important Highlights
  • No holiday RTO allowed - candidate must be willing to work holidays
  • Current, unrestricted Colorado RN license required
  • COVID vaccination required per state mandate
  • Traveler's permanent address must be at least 65 miles from the facility
  • Local travelers will not be considered
  • Facility may offer possibility of shared 2 bed / 2 bath housing
  • No pets / no smoking
  • Facility will pay rent
Required Experience
  • Minimum 4 years of RN experience
  • Strong Med/Surg experience required
  • Spine/Ortho post-op patient experience required
  • Experience in critical access, floor nursing, Med-Surg adult/peds, ACU, or ED is highly valuable
Required Certifications
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • TNCC
  • Active Colorado RN license
Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care in Med Surg / ED setting
  • Manage post-op Spine/Ortho patients
  • Monitor and assess adult and pediatric Med/Surg patients
  • Support patient care in a critical access hospital environment
  • Document accurately in Meditech
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient care
  • Work assigned holidays as required
