Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Rent Collections Specialist to join our growing team. This role is critical in maintaining financial performance across our portfolio by managing rent collections, handling high call volume, and supporting eviction processes when necessary.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates professionally, and is committed to delivering excellent resident service while enforcing company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and collect rent payments from residents in a timely and professional manner.
  • Handle high incoming/outgoing call volume and respond to resident inquiries regarding balances and payments.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed notes on all resident interactions and account activity.
  • Communicate professionally via email using Microsoft Outlook with both onsite team and resident accounts.
  • Monitor delinquent accounts and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • File evictions for residents with high balances in accordance with company policies and local regulations.
  • Attend eviction court hearings as required.
  • Visit our communities to train with teams and ensure best collection practices are being enforced.
  • Collaborate with on-site teams to resolve account discrepancies and resident concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and company procedures.
  • Assist with reporting and tracking collection performance.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
  • Multifamily property management experience preferred.
  • Experience in collections or handling high call volume.
  • Strong attention to detail with accurate documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of rent collections and eviction processes is a plus.
Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Prior experience in collections, property management, or customer service required (5 years minimum).
  • Multifamily industry experience strongly preferred.
Additional Requirements:
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driverโ€™s license.
  • Must be able to attend court hearings as needed.
  • Must be able to work on-site (this is not a remote position).
  • Must be dependable, professional, and team-oriented.
