About the Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable ASL Caregiver to provide one-on-one support for a client who communicates using American Sign Language (ASL).

This role is ideal for caregivers, Direct Care Workers (DCWs), CNAs, and other healthcare professionals who are fluent in ASL and passionate about helping individuals remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes.

You will build a meaningful relationship with your client while serving as both a caregiver and a vital communication resource.

What You'll Be Doing

Communicate effectively with a client using American Sign Language (ASL)
Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
Support safe mobility, transfers, and fall prevention
Provide companionship, engagement, and emotional support
Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands
Follow individualized care plans and document services appropriately
Promote client independence, dignity, and quality of life

Requirements

Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) required
Active Arizona Direct Care Worker (DCW) certification required, OR current CNA, LPN, LVN, or equivalent credential accepted by Arizona regulations
Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred
Negative TB test within the last 12 months preferred
Reliable transportation and valid auto insurance required
Experience providing personal care and mobility assistance preferred
Hoyer lift and transfer assistance experience preferred
Compassionate, dependable, and comfortable working independently in client homes
Prior experience supporting individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing is a plus
