This position with the Duininck Asphalt & Paving team offers the opportunity to operate paving equipment on a variety of projects, producing quality pavement while working closely with a skilled crew in a fast-paced field environment.

The Role:

  • Safely operate the asphalt paver to achieve specified paving width, depth, and grade.
  • Work closely with the foreman and crew membersincluding dump person, distributor, screed operator, and roller operatorsto coordinate paving operations and maintain safe workflow.
  • Perform daily inspections, fluid checks, lubrication, and basic repairs to ensure the paver is in safe working condition.
  • Notify the shop team when additional maintenance or repairs are needed.
  • Keep equipment clean and prepare it for loading and transport as required.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe jobsite.
  • Follow supervisor instructions and complete tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.

Work Environment:

  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Walk, bend, kneel, lift, stretch, and sit for extended periods.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Regularly work extended or overtime hours depending on project workload.
  • Travel required throughout Central & Western Minnesota, Northern Iowa, and the Eastern Dakotas.
